Diving In
Soooo much I want to blog about. No time...okay, there's time..but the confusion remains..although, things are getting more and more clear as time wears on. Woo hoo! Clear is good.
I look like a lobster. Sexy, eh? I spent yesterday by the pool, with my Girl. And our kids, of course...although it was fun pretending we were there by ourselves..giggling, laughing, talking about everything..( with one eye always on the kids..) And I wanted to remove my 'farmer tan'. Okay, RACHEL wanted me to remove my 'farmer tan', and I wanted her to shut up. She enjoys pointing and laughing way too much..Yeah. It's removed alright. I now have the 'dumb ass burn'. You know, where every part that was white is now red....chest, upper arms, back. You could play tick tack toe on my back right now, from where my swim suit crossed. Oy. Yeah, I'm a dumb ass...but hey I'm a TAN dumb ass, damn it!! ( okay, a tan and burned one..but lets not split hairs, here..)
The kids and I ended up just staying the night...having a great dinner..a shot of good Tequila..( only one though..). We were planning on swimming again today...but wouldn't you know it...the first time in TWO WEEKS it decides to cloud up..and stay cool. In the afternoon we decided to go anyway..( the kids put on their whiney hats..). But guess what. The pool was closed for a deep cleaning...WTF? HELLO!! Middle of fargin JUNE here! Deep clean in the WINTER you idiots!! Emily was thrilled when she awoke from her deep-car slumber, and we were almost home. The rest of the car ride was a joy, with a four year old crying her poor heart out, because we weren't going swimming...and James deciding that if Emily was going to cry, he should defiantly join in. And of course, he had to cry louder. Oy. Yes. And Oy again.
So all in all...a great couple of days. I know I've said it before, but I like to remind myself, and those I care about....I'm lucky. I'm lucky to have such good, good people in my life. I may be disposable to some, but not all. And my friends keep me moving forward. ( This includes all of you!) They remind me of who I am. Who I want to be. And they love me no matter what. This is a gift I can never repay..and one that needs no payment. They invest in me..and I in them. My network is strong. And I'm lucky.
Hope you all have a great Thursday!
All my love..to you...yeah..YOU.
xoxo
Jen

nice to see the smile in your words.
S~
you sound great, Jen!! I'm SO far behind on my blog reading so just dropped by here (still need to catch up) to read the latest and leave a HUG@
HUGSSSSSSSSS
Glad to see things are looking better ~ at least you seem to be enjoying them.
Yeah, I have a whiny 4 year old at my house. Oh yeah, they are fuuuuun.
Clear is very good.
I was at the beach yesterday, too, and splashing in the water and having a blast! Sometimes you just need to sit in the sun and laugh. Glad you had a good time!
Use sunscreen girl!!! Lobster-ness is not allowed!! Hope you are having a great day.
You repay that debt of friendship all the time, Lav. I can't tell you how many times you've reminded me of who I was and moved me forward. You're an incredible person, and yes, you do have an incredible life. You'll miss the whining and crying one day, though at least you won't need the tequilla as much
Keep it up little lady!!!
Glad you had a good time, dumb ass tan or not. LOL. Now, before you complain about the pool being "deep cleaned" in June, let me suggest a number of reasons why it may have been necessary:
number two
(LOL, tho I shouldn't laugh - it happens nearly weekly where I work)
wow, Jeff...thanks...
EWWWWWWWW...Number two...I would rather think they just wanted to mess up our day! ( It's all about me, you know..lol)
I think it was a number two as well, dirty bastards!
Ok...Lets all sing the number two song...Hark hark the beans are calling, must be the ones I had this morning, quick march bathroom door...OOPS! to late they're on the floor.
Sorry about that, it wasn't me, it was my brain that said it.
Your brain is sick and wrong, Ed..just sick and wrong...LMAO!!!!!
PlanetDream = Kimberly = Mugzee no more
It is SO PERTY in here! I love the colors and pictures and the entire feeling - wovely, just wovely!
Thank you for your words about my friend Rena. ((((Jen))))). That entire situation has been giving me heartburn for weeks now (her daughters). Anyway, no more of that talk.
Sounds like you really did get the dumbass tan/burn lol. OUCHIE. Now me, I prefer to go to the tanning salons and smell my skin burning on a nice oven temperature of BROIL lol. I swear to you - I can smell my skin cooking in there - that or it's asscrack sweat from the person before me - but at this point - I'm hoping for the burning flesh lol.
Sounds like you enjoyed some good "girl" fun - boy!!!!! can't we all use that? I know I could! Let me ask you, was it really only one tequilla? C'mon just one? Really? Not 1 1/2? lol.
Well you - I've missed you and I'm glad you continued visiting - even when I haven't - life swept me away - I don't vanish for lack of caring, heart or interest - if I vanish - then time is a problem for me. I hate clocks! I hate timeframes too - okay, so I hate waking up early and being forced to spend 9 hours a day somewhere - but that's an entirely different subject lol.
P.S. My pool was closed for a deep cleaning recently too - apparently they weren't cleaning it often enough and it got slimey. Not that it matters though - as we approach mid-summer - the pool water here is like swimming in a hot-tub no relief - I just chill in the AC and do the tanning salon - from time to time when I miss swimming I go to the ocean, or fill my tub and do the breast stroke lol.
You sound good Jen - YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Please stop by and sub my new site - I won't be updating Mugzee's anymore.
Sounds like you had a good time! 'Cept for the whinin' & cryin' on the way home. But I can relate! :O
Hugs & Blessings, ~*~Centauri~*~
I am so glad that you had a great couple of days. Everyone needs those. I hope that you have many more!
As Ever,
Amethyst
i tried to remove my farmer tan but now im burnt in spots and white in spots cuz i have to have sunblock on my tattoos!! lol!
All in all it sounds like a great time and eventually a great tan!
Take care!
sounds like a wonderful time except for the burn! take it easy swetie and enjoy the weekend.
Lobsters can be sexy. i have a friend who is a great sketch artist and she got this picture, kinda like the ones you post on your page, of this nekkid girl, lying on her stomace on a huge plate with huge lettuce and lemon slices around her and she's got her smiling faces resting on her two lobster claw hands. It's cute! It's that whole "Eat me" thing.
I can't believe they're deep cleaning the pool. Everyone knows that is what you do before you open the pool for the season. You clean it and paint it. Unless its an all year pool in like south florida or something.
Keep aloe or cocoa butter on your burns and they'll hurt less and brown out instead of just fading.
*laughs as she reads the post and the reply*
I'm glad you're doing well Jen, I know I too could use some much needed "girl time" why is it we tend to feel better after that? Anyway... good for you... and I hope your days continue on this up pattern. Way to look at the positive hon cause the negative only brings you down and makes even the little things look worse. Peace & Love...
I feel like I was right THERE with you, LOL. I swear I can even hear the kids! And good for you only having one shot! Did I tell you tequila is my middle name? *wink*
Love ya!
Kira
Glad ya had fun summer days, even with screaming kids....hehe....simple pleasures! In response to your comment, I also am wearing flip flops!
I have wedding decorated flip flops for the beach ceremony, then the wedding tennies to dance it up at the reception
