  • A Summers Nights Musings

    As I lay

    The bed of lavender

    Embraces me

    My senses… reel

    I look up high

    The stars

    So bright

    …new

    Somehow

    I realize

    My dreams

    Are Mine

    Life…to sway...

    As I ask it to

    I lay a hand

    On my breast

    Filling the void

    That once was there

    Night….

    Absorbing

    The fear

    The complete..

    ….helplessness

    I exhale my doubts

    Along with

    ...My pain…

    And inhale

    Myself

    Freedom…

    I’ve found

  • I like that a lot. It sounds very positive.

  • I just read back all your blogs I missed!  I'm so glad the new job is going so well!!  I'm sorry to read about your friend Bobby, and also about your life-changing, traumatic loss of your friend David.  We feel so invincible when we're young, and do stupid things....I've got some icky memories of such consequences myself, different, but due to that insane invincible party stage.  Tough....but it seems you're able to reflect back, and not take life for granted...

  • awesome post to a sweet person--ty for your comments on my sight i really enjoy yours--hugs--bb js

  • I like this, very much.  It reminds me of one I wrote about my own finding of freedom and selfhood sitting outside one day.  :)
